![]() ![]() (We’re looking at you, Boris Todbringer!) This will be the first time during Warhammer 2’s life-cycle that a new Lord won’t be playable in the Vortex campaign an interesting precedent to set for future releases. Interestingly, this bonus Lord will only be playable in the Mortal Empires campaign. However, it will only be available for players who own the original Realm of the Wood Elves DLC. There will be a Free-LC Legendary Lord too, though. However, instead of releasing a Free-LC Legendary Lord alongside the pack, as the studio has traditionally done, they’ll simply be releasing a Free-LC Hero. Of course, the Wood Elves will be getting an ‘Old World Update,’ alongside the DLC the rework which fans have long been waiting for. However, the format of the DLC release will be a little different than usual. ![]() Writing in a recent dev-blog, Creative Assembly revealed that the next as-yet-unannounced Total War: Warhammer 2 DLC will be a Lord Pack featuring the Wood Elves and one of the original four races from the second game. That now leaves only the Beastmen, Wood Elves, Norsca, and Warriors of Chaos DLC factions. With the release of The Warden and The Paunch earlier this year, Creative Assembly introduced a major Greenskins rework the last of the core factions from the first game to get their rework. As a result, fans have been calling for them to get a rework for a very long time. Since then, they have slowly become one of the most out-of-date factions, with some of the least popular campaign mechanics. The Wood Elves were first added to Total War: Warhammer with the Realm of the Wood Elves DLC in 2016. Speculation about the next DLC has been rife for some time, but Creative Assembly has now revealed a huge detail about what’s coming the next Total War: Warhammer 2 DLC will feature the Wood Elves. It’s been a few months now since the release of The Warden and The Paunch, the last big Lord Pack DLC for Total War: Warhammer 2. ![]()
